The Pegasus
Soccer Club is a volunteer-based organization (supported by the
use of professional trainers), and we welcome the support of our
families.
If you are interested in helping, please check out
the list of needs below and do one of two simple things:
- As part of the on-line Tryout Registration process, one or both
parents can express their interest in volunteering, and specify
what they are interested in volunteering for.
- You can also send us an e-mail at
volunteering@PegasusSoccerClub.org. Please include your name
and contact information, plus the area that you're interested
in helping with. Thank you!
So how can you get involved...
- Team Manager. The Team Manager is the leader/organizer
for the team. The Club relies on the Team Manager to make sure
that everything runs smoothly on the team, from communicating
practice/game schedules, to rescheduling games, to generally keeping
the team informed and other administrative tasks. The Team Manager
is also the primary contact person between the Club and the team.
- Administration & Support. Get involved
in registration, equipment, merchasdise, purchasing, risk management,
uniforms - many of the behind the scenes activites that keep the
Club running and make our players look good.
- Communications. This is a broad category that
includes web site maintenance/updates, newsletters, publicity
(flyers, local papers), and Club Handbook production. There are
a variety of ways to get involved in communications. We need help
here to keep Club members informed and in touch.
- Fields / ARs. Get involved with managing field
availability for practices and games. Help protect our field by
ensuring that the fields are safe to play on. Get involved with
our Assistant Referee program.
- Winter Soccer. Involves getting league information
organized and communicated to teams, helping getting teams registered,
as well as coordinating our in-house program (which will be a
little different from this year's).
- Parent Advisory. Parent Advisory Board Members
represent their team to the club. Select the following link to
find out more information about the Parent
Advisory Board.
- Special Events. Special Events are always
fun for our players and families. Make your child's experience
even more rewarding by getting involed with organizing Special
Events. Special event ideas include attending local High School
games as a club, attending Chicago Fire games, pool party, etc.
- Tournaments. The Club participates in two
major tournaments during the fall and spring seasons. Help gather
tournament availability information and get teams registered.
- Tryout Volunteers. Help register players during
tryouts and organize tryout paperwork and documentation. May include
help setting up/tearing down.
- I’m Flexible! If you have no preference,
or if you thought of another way to get involved that's not listed
above, then volunteer to do what you were thinking. It's quite
conceivable that we just didn't think of it!
Thank you very much for your support! |
