The Pegasus
Soccer Club is an Illinois not-for-profit corporation created for
the purpose of encouraging and supporting the expansion of soccer
opportunities for boys and girls who exhibit advanced ability and
interest in soccer.
Since our inception in 1984, club members have enjoyed
a high-level soccer experience. As early as 1987 one of our boys’
teams won the club’s first State Championship and went on
to win the Midwest Regional title. In 1992, Pegasus added its first
girls’ team. After just two years this squad brought home
a State Championship, a feat the team repeated two years later.
Today, Pegasus offers a competitive soccer experience
for boys and girls (from 8 to 18) through its affiliations with
the Young Sportsmen’s Soccer League (boys), the Northern Illinois
Soccer League (boys) and the Illinois Women’s Soccer League
(girls). The soccer year has a fall season (from early September
to early November) and a spring season (early April to early June).
Boys generally play on Saturdays while girls play on Sundays. Many
of our teams play indoors during the winter off-season.
The club is based in Deerfield Illinois, and we welcome
players from surrounding communities.
